RM100 Risk Management Library Guide

This library addresses risk management, one of the most difficult management problems faced by farmers, ranchers and producers. Risk management requires a broad base of knowledge and skill. For that reason there is a good deal of overlap between the Risk Management library and other AgEdNet.com libraries. Risk management requires a knowledge of production technology, ag business and farm management as well as marketing.

Students who have a good basic understanding of ag production, management and marketing will be better able to understand how risk management concepts can be used by ag producers. However, as in other AgEdNet.com libraries, the information is presented in a way that most students should be able to master without prerequisites. Many of the risk management lessons include cross references to lessons in other libraries. These cross references may be helpful for students who need additional background in marketing or other ag topics.
